Corporate T Shirts – Making the Right Impression in Trade Show Events

by Dave

If you have a big event coming up, then you want to do everything you can to ensure you make a great first impression. In the whirlwind of designing your marketing material and booth, your staff themselves can often be overlooked. To ensure your team looks as good as the company they are representing, consider investing in corporate t shirts.

Walking Advertisements

Wherever your staff go, your logo will follow – that’s the beauty of choosing custom tops. They are one of the most cost-effective ways to provide visibility for your business, and they create a visual connection with your potential customers. Even when your staff aren’t at your booth, if they are on their lunch break or traveling to or from the event, they are still advertising your business!

Stand Out from the Crowd

How often have you walked into a stall or a store but you can’t identify who works there and who doesn’t, so you leave. This isn’t a once off situation, but with corporate t shirts, your staff will stand out and potential clients will know exactly who to address their questions to. You can even go one step further and have the t shirts specify each person’s role. For example, they could say ‘volunteer’, ‘sales’ or ‘team leader’ on the back.

Everything you do is designed to ensure you stand out, but that doesn’t mean you should go as bright and bold as you can. To ensure they are a success, follow these tips when designing your tops.

  1. Choose a Colour Scheme
The first thing you need to consider when designing your is what the will look like at first glance. In general, this comes down to their base colour. Whilst bold colours may be eye catching, it’s often a better idea to choose a more muted colour for the t shirt itself, and let your logo do the talking. After all, you still want your employees to look professional.
  1. Keep it Simple
KISS: Keep it Simple, Silly. This little acronym can be applied to many aspects of life, and shouldn’t be forgotten in this instance either. Just like the colour scheme, an outlandish design will draw attention for all the wrong reasons, and will make your t shirts look like they’ve been designed by an amateur. Include the important information, such as your logo, contact details, and even the event name if you’re designing the tops specifically for this occasion. Anything more may be difficult to read, and will simply confuse potential customers.
  1. Know your Technique
If this is your first time printing corporate t shirts, then you may not be familiar with the techniques used during the process. Whilst screen printing may be most common and cost effective, it doesn’t provide crystal clear graphics. If you want the highest quality, choose direct to garment printing.

We hope these tips have provided a good launching place to begin. Designing your own tops can be difficult, especially when you want to look good at a corporate event. At the end of the day, you want to design a top that will be worn with pride.
